Well, if you read towards the end of that forum post, there was actually a conversation about whether we were really direct competitors. The conclusion was essentially that Adonomics was focused more on valuations and creating an app marketplace, while we were more focused on creating a developer community. I guess it all depends on how you look at it.

In terms of Sometrics, it's actually hard to say. Our tools work very differently from each other, and even measure very different things. In fact, you could probably run both simultaneously and gain value from both.

At the end of the day, though, we'll just have to wait and see. Ian's definitely a smart guy, and they're doing a lot of good things. At the very least, when you have multiple parties offering services in the same space, all parties become competitive, and that's good for consumers (in this case, developers).

If you allow a monopoly to occur, then you get stuff like Adonomics (prior to us coming about, their website hadn't changed in 4 months... like... at all). So hey, even if we get beat, if all we accomplished was motivating others to improve their product, then developers still win! Considering we're also developers, that means we win too:)

I just mean I remember seeing your post in the developer forums about launching the "next-gen Adonomics." That sure looks to me like you're aiming right at 'em! (And I'm glad you are, too, they never update their site.)

About Sometrics I mean do you see them as competition? I know you're pushing the "social" angle, but you're also pushing the "deep analytics" angle, which is Sometrics' turf.

Haha, well that's okay. You don't have to believe me.

Sometrics is a really awesome tool! I talked to Ian at GSP, and they're doing a lot of neat stuff:) What about them?

Adonomics is great. They've provided an essential service to the community for many months.

Our site isn't really "better" in so much as it is "different."

We are far more community-centric, and are moving into the direct measurement analytics space.
